The Process Of Directional Boring
A method in which water, gas, sewer, electric, communications and casings are installed underground through trenchless methods from an entry point to and exit point along a predetermined path.

Directional boring is comprised of three stages:
- Stage 1 (Pilot Hole): The pilot hole is the initial bore made by a boring machine from an entry point to an exit point along a predetermined path.
- Stage 2 (Pre-reaming): To meet the demands of pipe installation that is larger than the pilot hole The hole is enlarged by passing a larger cutting tool known as a reamer.
- Stage 3 (Product Pull Back): Pulling the product back through the pilot hole or pre-reamed hole. As the product is being pulled back, drilling fluid is pumped downhole through the drill string to lubricate the product combating friction and unwanted stress on the product.

About Us
Sureshot Directional Boring, Inc has been in business since 2000. Owner Tom Donahue, who still works out in the field, has over 20 years drilling experience and extensive knowledge of underground utilities. This knowledge has been passed on to our skillfully trained and highly efficient operators. We have extensive experience in grade bores, rock bores, river bores, lake bores, force mains and install all underground utilities.
Our drill crew placed third in the world at the 2001 International HDD Rodeo event. We're a member of the Ohio Utilities Protection Service (OUPS).
We believe in maintaining a drug-free workplace, are BWC-compliant , a member of Avetta and the BBB of Ohio. Our business is fully insured.
